Through university I was able to use hand drafting techniques and drawing floor plans on layout.
I use Sketch Up for visuals and layout for my floor plans and elevations.
The Night Circus
As part of some of our final projects we were able to choose anything we wanted to adapt into a tv series, film set or theatre set. I chose a book called The night circus as it hasn’t been made into anything yet. I chose one of the main characters offices to make into a film set.

To practice making floor plans and surveying I drew up the floor plan of my house ground floor and first floor.
Hobson’s Choice
Adapting a the play, Hobson’s Choice, set in 1880’s Salford, into a tv series. After my research I was able to sketch up what I thought the layout was going to look like based on the action taking place in the show. This was my first time hand drafting floor plans and elevations.
